BRISTOL - Two Bristol-based artists Saturday recieved the inaugural grants from the Louise Lauretano DeMars Love of Art Fund, the Main Street Community Foundation announced.

In the heart of Bristol, CT, three women from different backgrounds came together to turn a shared vision into something truly special.

With the holiday season upon us, Bristol residents can unleash their inner artist in a joyful, no-judgment zone at Creative Jam Art Co. that’s as vibrant as the season itself.

This year’s Spooktacular on the field at Bristol Arts and Innovation Magnet School field featured its first coffin races on Saturday, Oct. 26. The winner was the Creative Jam Art team. Ron Tessman captures some of the fun with these photos.

BRISTOL — Creative Jam Art Co. offers a unique opportunity for expression through a splatter paint studio, workshops and more.

Located at 350 Riverside Ave., Creative Jam Art Co. was founded a year ago by Marlo Marrero Fernandez, Irmie Sauntiez and Brenda Ayende, who saw the former warehouse space as a “blank canvas” and an open box to remake into their own art studio. The studio, which can accommodate up to 60 people, features a splatter paint studio, a photo op area, a party room and tables for weekly workshops.

On the banks of the Pequabuck River sits Creative Jam Art Co., an inclusive space for artists to create and be inspired. The Latina-owned business located on Riverside Avenue was started by artists Marlo Marrero Fernandez, Irmie Sauntinez and Brenda Ayende.
