Running Connecticut's largest paint splatter room, and Our Summer Hours!

The Delicate Dance of Art, Business, and Community.

When we opened the physical doors to our studio in October of 2023, we had a vision: to create a consistent, community-centered space where anyone could walk in, make art, and feel happy—with no heavy rules.

But as any small business owner will tell you, there is a delicate dance between staying true

to your mission and keeping the lights on.

Messing with the Budget for the Sake of the Mission

For the past two summers, local camp groups approached us about bringing kids in. Honestly, we weren’t grounded enough yet as a business to host them on a their tight camp budget. We had to say no.

This year, we decided to take a leap of faith and keeping in mind our long term goals. Between now and the end of July, we have 10 large groups (12- 45 people) coming through our doors. To make this happen, we chose to meet their budgets, even though it meant messing with ours.

Why? Because this is really important to us and if we don’t meet them where they are, those kids don’t get to experience our studio. They don't get to feel the joy of creation without rigid rules. Taking this chance means packing our studio with vibrant energy, introducing our space to hundreds of new faces, and hoping they love us enough to become return customers. We are betting on our community. But to make this gamble work long-term, it takes a collective effort.

How You Can Help Us Stay Present

We want to be a permanent fixture here for years to come. While we are actively working on securing grants and alternative funding, the immediate truth is that independent spaces like ours thrive because of the people who use them.

If you believe in what we are doing, here is how you can partner with us right now:

  • Visit us this summer: Bring a friend, paint a canvas, and share some creative energy with us.

  • Donate from afar: If your summer plans have you traveling or keeping busy away from the studio, please consider making a donation. Every single dollar acts as a bridge, helping us remain a consistent, open space for everyone.

Community Support Fund

Because we are a community-centered small business and not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, gifts to our Village Fund are not tax-deductible—Think of it as a meaningful tip or investment that goes 100% toward offsetting our costs so we can keep welcoming these large youth groups.
