Join us this July for "The Illustrator’s Studio: Alcohol Marker Masterclass"—an intensive 3-day summer art workshop designed for young artists aged 9 to 14 who want to level up their drawing skills. This masterclass offers a deep dive into professional illustration, focusing on the vibrant world of high-quality alcohol markers. Workshop Details: Dates: July 20–22 Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM Capacity: Limited to 14 participants per session to ensure personalized attention. Pricing: Early Bird (until February 28): $199 per session Regular Price: $225 per session Daily Schedule: 9:00 AM – 9:15 AM: Welcome and warm-up activities 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM: Instruction and hands-on creation 10:15 AM – 10:30 AM: Snack Break 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM: Continued project work 11:45 AM – 12:00 PM: Clean-up and review of the day's work Daily Focus: Day 1: Gourmet Graphics Participants will jump into food illustration, learning how to make their art "pop" by mastering smooth blending and crisp highlights to create delicious-looking graphics. Day 2: Texture Lab Young illustrators will experiment with specialized techniques to mimic real-world surfaces. We will focus on the specific strokes needed to render soft fur, reflective metal, and transparent glass. Day 3: Portfolio Finale To conclude the masterclass, attendees will design a full-page character. This session focuses on advanced light and shadow theory to give their original characters professional depth and dimens Safety Information: Non-Toxic Materials: Most art supplies used are non-toxic and child-friendly. Please note that the alcohol ink markers we'll be using contain solvents and are not classified as non-toxic. However, our studio is well-ventilated to ensure a safe working environment. Protective Equipment: Aprons and gloves are provided to protect clothing and skin. Supervision: Experienced instructors and assistants will supervise all activities. First Aid: A basic first aid kit is available on-site for minor injuries. Registration: By registering for this workshop, parents/guardians acknowledge that they've been informed of the potential risks associated with using alcohol ink markers. 1. Registration & Payment Full Payment: Payment is required in full at the time of online booking to secure your child’s spot. Early Bird Pricing: To qualify for the Early Bird rate ($199), registration and payment must be completed on or before February 28, 2026. 2. Cancellations & Refunds We understand that summer plans can change. Our refund schedule is as follows: 30+ Days Before Start Date: Full refund minus a $25 administrative processing fee. 14–29 Days Before Start Date: 50% refund or a full credit toward a future 2026 workshop (subject to availability). Less than 14 Days Before Start Date: No refunds or credits will be issued due to materials already purchased and staffing commitments. 3. Transfer Policy If you wish to switch your child to a different workshop week, we will accommodate the request free of charge up to 14 days before the original start date, provided there is space available in the new session. 4. Minimum Enrollment We strive to run every scheduled session. However, we reserve the right to cancel a workshop if minimum enrollment is not met. In this rare event, you will be notified at least 7 days in advance and offered a full refund or a transfer to another week. 5. Pick-up & Drop-off Drop-off: No earlier than 8:50 AM. Pick-up: Promptly at 12:00 PM. A late pick-up fee of $15 may apply for every 15 minutes past the scheduled end time to cover staff supervision.
